Refunds, Cancellations & Exchanges – Go-Go Bikes
In the interest of keeping things simple, here’s how refunds, cancellations and bike swaps work with us… If you’d like the detailed legal version, please see our full Terms and Conditions:
Cancelling Your Membership
- You can cancel any time by logging a cancellation request on our website.
- You’ll be charged for the full month in which you cancel.
- We’ll arrange to collect your bike.
- Once we’ve got the bike back, we’ll check it over.
- If it’s in good condition (allowing for normal wear and tear), we’ll stop your monthly payments.
- If it’s badly damaged or missing parts, we may charge a reasonable fee for repairs or replacements before closing your account.
- Please note; cancellations carry a small fee to cover the collection of your bike and the admin related to your termination. You’ll pay this fee when initiating your cancellation on our website.
Swapping Your Bike for a Bigger One
Kids grow, and so should their bikes!
- You can request an exchange on our website whenever your child is ready for the next size.
- We’ll collect your current bike and deliver the new one at the same time.
- We’ll inspect the returned bike:
- If it’s in good condition, no problem.
- If it has damage beyond normal use or missing parts, we’ll charge you the cost to fix or replace them.
- If the bike is seriously neglected or damaged, we may cancel your membership immediately and collect the new bike.
- We charge a small exchange fee to cover admin, collection and delivery costs. You’ll pay this fee when initiating your exchange on our website.
Faulty or Damaged Bikes (not your fault)
- If your bike arrives faulty or not as described, you’re protected under the Consumer Protection Act.
- If there are any problems with your delivered bike, please inform us within 10 business days by emailing kelly@gogobikes.co.za
- We’ll either:
- Help you troubleshoot remotely,
- Arrange a repair at an approved bike shop, or
- Replace the bike at no extra cost to you.
- Please don’t try to fix it yourself without checking with us first, as this could affect your right to a refund or replacement.
The Legal Bits
- Nothing here takes away any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.
- Refunds are made back to your original payment method (unless we agree otherwise).
- This policy is governed by South African law.
